Recently / Burnaby Art Gallery & CARFAC BC Workshop on Social Marketing for Artists

As part of an ongoing professional workshop series, the Burnaby Art Gallery and CARFAC BC invited us to present a workshop on social media for artists.

Given that many social media advisers seem to focus on tactics – the tools, applications, and resources needed to participate in a social media campaign – we focused on strategy first (the Why and the What) and tactics second (the How and the When).

Other related community engagement and pubic speaking workshops include "From the Cell Phone to the iPad," a presentation for the 2010 BC Museums Association annual conference called I, Museum: Community, Technology, Opportunity.

Logo design

Identity Design / Heart To Heart Haiti

Heart To Heart Haiti, a not-for-profit society based in Haiti and Canada, asked us to redesign their logo and wordmark. The catch? This pro bono project had to be completed in just two days.

After auditing the crowded visual landscape of global relief organizations working in Haiti, we created a design that conveyed strength as well as sensitivity to Haitian traditions. What we didn’t know at the time was that the client’s web team had already designed and submitted a new logo. Too bad.
